Join FitzRoy's Specialist Night Support Team

At FitzRoy, we're proud to provide outstanding, person-centred support to people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, physical disabilities, and complex support requirements.

We're looking for a dedicated and experienced Night Support Team Leader to join our growing Nottinghamshire team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting both the people we support and the teams that work alongside them.

As our Night Support Team Leader, you'll play a vital role in ensuring safe, effective and high-quality support is delivered throughout the night across multiple services. No two nights are the same. One moment you could be providing guidance to support staff, and the next responding to an emergency situation or supporting a service through a period of increased need.

About the Role

As the lead contact for our Nottinghamshire services overnight, you will:

  • Provide leadership, guidance and support to night teams across multiple services.
  • Be the first point of contact for operational issues and on-call support during your shift.
  • Respond to incidents, health concerns, hospital admissions and crisis situations.
  • Conduct service visits throughout the night to provide hands-on support where needed.
  • Support staff development through observations, coaching and support sessions.
  • Assist with rota management, training coordination and compliance requirements.
  • Help ensure the highest standards of care and support are maintained across all services.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who:

  • Has experience supporting people with complex support needs.
  • Can remain calm and make confident decisions under pressure.
  • Is a strong communicator and natural leader.
  • Can work independently across multiple locations.
  • Is passionate about delivering person-centred support.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle (desirable, depending on service requirements).

Why FitzRoy?

This is an opportunity to make a real impact, not only in the lives of the people we support but also in developing and leading a dedicated team of night support professionals.

As FitzRoy continues to grow across Nottinghamshire, there's never been a better time to join a charity that puts people first and invests in its colleagues.

Apply today and help us create a world where people with learning disabilities can live the lives they choose.

FitzRoy is a national charity, set up 60 years ago by brave parents as a pioneering alternative to institutional care. Their values remain the values of FitzRoy today – we see the person, we are brave and we are creative – and they thread through everything we do.

We support hundreds of people with a range of needs. You could be supporting someone with learning disabilities, autism, acquired brain injuries or mental health support needs. Many of the people we support also have physical impairments or other health issues. Working for us will give you an opportunity to learn, to grow and to transform lives. Join us today.

“It’s hard to put into words what has motivated me to stay at FitzRoy for 50 years. I love working with the people we support, it really is all down to them. The connection you make with them and the difference you are making is the real delight of the job.”

“You don’t become a support worker unless you want to help people and make a difference to someone’s life. That’s what made me want to do this job – I have always been a caring person and I wanted to help give people with learning disabilities a voice.”

“FitzRoy is such an incredible place to work, everyone really cares about the people we support. I am genuinely passionate about improving their quality of life, and when you see the people we support achieving a goal I feel immense job satisfaction.”
