This is a {Advertised Permanent / Temporary}, {Advertised Full Time / Part Time} vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

We are excited to be internally recruiting an Activities Coordinator to join our residential service at Webb House, where we support people to live extraordinary, ordinary lives.

At Webb House, we support up to nineteen adults with learning disabilities and acquired brain injuries (ABI) to live lives that are meaningful, fulfilling, and led by their own choices. Each person is unique, with their own goals, interests, and aspirations—and this role is all about bringing those to life.

Our home provides a range of spaces that create opportunities for everyday living and shared experiences, including a welcoming communal area, sensory and music space, gym, kitchen for cooking and baking, and creative arts areas.

We also have beautiful outdoor spaces, with balconies and a large garden—ideal for relaxing, socialising, and developing practical skills like gardening.

This year, we’re excited to begin growing our own vegetables, creating opportunities for people to connect with nature and enjoy the rewards of their efforts.

Unfortunately we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

About the Role

  • 30 hours per week
  • £12.75 per hour during the week, £14.02 at the weekend.

This role is about much more than planning activities—it’s about supporting people to build skills, confidence, and independence in their everyday lives.

You will work alongside the people we support to develop opportunities that reflect what matters to them, including:

  • Building confidence with reading and writing
  • Exploring books and creating meaningful access to learning
  • Developing money management and budgeting skills
  • Supporting people to use these skills in real-life situations within their community

Everything you do will be guided by the voices, choices, and ambitions of the people we support—helping turn everyday moments into meaningful achievements.

 Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about person-centred support and believes in empowering people to live life on their own terms.

Whether you are currently a Support Worker or Activities Assistant ready for your next step, we would love to hear from you.

We provide full, paid, comprehensive training—what matters most is your enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to making a real difference.

We welcome applicants from all current FitzRoy employees and agency workers.

FitzRoy is a national charity, set up 60 years ago by brave parents as a pioneering alternative to institutional care. Their values remain the values of FitzRoy today – we see the person, we are brave and we are creative – and they thread through everything we do.

We support hundreds of people with a range of needs. You could be supporting someone with learning disabilities, autism, acquired brain injuries or mental health support needs. Many of the people we support also have physical impairments or other health issues. Working for us will give you an opportunity to learn, to grow and to transform lives. Join us today.

“It’s hard to put into words what has motivated me to stay at FitzRoy for 50 years. I love working with the people we support, it really is all down to them. The connection you make with them and the difference you are making is the real delight of the job.”

“You don’t become a support worker unless you want to help people and make a difference to someone’s life. That’s what made me want to do this job – I have always been a caring person and I wanted to help give people with learning disabilities a voice.”

“FitzRoy is such an incredible place to work, everyone really cares about the people we support. I am genuinely passionate about improving their quality of life, and when you see the people we support achieving a goal I feel immense job satisfaction.”

Fitzroy reserve the right to close job adverts early should we receive a sufficient quality of applicants or if business need dictates.
