Salary: £27,000 FTE per annum - pro rata for part time

Contract: 3 months

Hours/days 20-28 hours per week working over 3 or 4 days

Location: Remote with some travel to Central Support, Petersfield for training and meetings

Temporary 3-month contract with possibility of extension.

As a Recruitment Coordinator, you'll play a key administration role in ensuring every new colleague has a smooth, efficient and positive recruitment journey, while helping us maintain the highest standards of safer recruitment.

Purpose of the Job

This role will carry out Safer Recruitment pre-employment checks accurately and efficiently while providing an excellent experience for recruiting managers and candidates throughout the post-offer recruitment process.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Previous administration experience of pre-employment checks including Right to Work and DBS checks.
  • Familiarity with Safer Recruitment.
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation relating to recruitment
  • Be able to manage your own time effectively and work with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and experience of using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Excellent customer service skills and be comfortable working in a process driven environment.

Outline of Responsibilities and Duties

  • Handle all post-offer administration, including processing background checks such as right to work, references, DBS checks, health questionnaires to agreed timescales. 
  • Ensure information is communicated to the correct parties in a timely and efficient manner and recorded in the correct place.
  • Produce offer documentation (including employment contracts) and manage new staff through the on-boarding process, ensuring a positive and engaging candidate experience.
  • Administration process of new starters, through our Recruitment, HR and Payroll systems. 
  • Provide cover for other members of the team during periods of annual leave or other absence.
