The Vacancy

FitzRoy are recruiting for experienced Bank Support Workers to work across two of our services in the Hodge Hill area of Birmingham. These services provide complex care and in-depth support for adults with learning disabilities and autism, often with additional physical and mental health needs.

We are seeking exceptional and enthusiastic female Bank Support Workers who are flexible and reliable to support our services as and when required — could this be you?

Bank Support Worker – Key Details

  • Pay rate: £12.35 per hour

  • Contract type: Bank (zero-hours, flexible working)

  • Shift patterns: Early / mid / late shifts between 7:00am and 10:00pm

  • Sleep-ins: £50 per night

  • Overtime: +£2.50 per hour (where applicable)

  • Bank holidays: Time and a half or double time

  • Location: Two services within the Hodge Hill area, Birmingham

About the Role

We believe our service users should be supported and encouraged to achieve whatever they aspire to do. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping individuals overcome challenges presented by their condition and live fulfilling, meaningful lives.

Your duties will include:

  • Providing support with personal care, feeding, and daily living tasks

  • Encouraging independence and choice

  • Supporting individuals to access community activities

  • Managing and responding to challenging behaviour where required

  • Promoting dignity, respect, and wellbeing at all times

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and autism

  • Experience with challenging behaviour is beneficial

  • A full UK driving licence is essential

  • A caring, patient, and positive approach

  • Flexibility to work across both services
